Trip x Tanner pups
more stuff
In my kitchen, I have an area sectioned off by a Precision x-pen for the pups. There is a doggie door which connects it to a kennel on the patio. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen, so the pups get a lot of interaction with me. They also interaction with my other dogs safely through the bars of the x-pen. The adults are unable to dominate them or otherwise be rough with them.
As of October 2, they are mostly going outside to go potty.

When I first get up in the morning the pups are very insistent that I come interact with them. Here is a video of that

This video is a tour of the puppies' kennel. The kennel is has both concrete and dirt sections. It is actually two kennels with a door left open which the pups can push around. There is an x-pen on the concrete as a weird surface. One section of it connects to fence such that the section is off the ground at an angle. There is a solid rubber mat as well as a large section of holey rubber mat. There are concrete paver blacks that jut up from each other. There is a metal chair on its back that the pups can climb on and it also provides another type of surface. { I usually put a beach lounge chair in my puppy kennel for them to climb on, but I looked in several stores and could not find any whose end flap would go down below vertical.} There are car ramps to provide something a little elevated to run along. There is a large rectangular trash can set on its side whose sides are somewhat bowed, so it rocks. There is a large round trash can set on its side that rolls. The pups play in the trash cans, but also grab the handles and pull them around. The trash cans can bump into pups outside the cans. There's a plastic box with one side low that the pups climb into. I cut the ends of of two 5-gallon orange buckets and duct taped them together to make a tunnel. The pups have thus far left the tape on the outside alone, but work real hard on removing the tape on the inside. So, they not only crawl through the tunnel, but spend some time in it. The also like climbing on top of the rounded rolling tunnel. There is a tug toy that hangs suspended on a cross ling which has wind chimes attached that make sound whenever the tug is pulled.

This video features the pups giving love to Dot as she sits on the ground with them. It also shows the pups non reaction to the trash can being moved around.

I constructed a curtain of plastic bottles containing marbles that hangs across the doorway between the two kennels. A pup must push through the noisy curtain to go through the doorway. As the pups could destroy the curtain, I keep it tied up out of the way when not giving them a session with it. Unfortunately, the first session did not record. So, I can only show the second and third sessions ever.

I have had an x-pen lying on the ground of the kennel to provide a different surface for the pups for some time. They run over it as if it wasn't there. About 5 minutes before starting this video, I picked up the 4-panel pen and hooked 3 of the panels together into a triangle and hung it on the fence so that the panel facing the ground is up off the ground. Immediately 3 pups went through it. So I went and got the video camera and a handful of kibble in case they were camera shy and filmed this.
